Is Subnautica 2 Coming to Nintendo Switch?
Short answer for Nintendo players, plus an honest take on whether the original Switch can even run this game.
Not available on Nintendo hardware. Subnautica 2 launched in Early Access on PC and Xbox platforms. The original Subnautica already ran below 30 FPS on Switch, while Switch 2 has newer hardware but no Subnautica 2 edition to buy today.

Switch (original)
No, and unlikely. The original Subnautica only barely ran on Switch at sub-30 FPS. Subnautica 2 targets newer hardware.
Switch 2
Not available. The current Early Access release covers PC and Xbox platforms.

Steam, Epic, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, ROG Xbox Ally, Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass.
If you only own a Switch right now
A couple of realistic options. None of them are "wait a few weeks":
- Steam Deck or ROG Xbox Ally. Both run the PC version on a handheld form factor. The Ally is the cheapest path because Game Pass Ultimate covers the game.
- Xbox cloud play. Game Pass Ultimate lets you stream the game from a browser, tablet, or phone. Useful if your only "PC" is a work laptop you can sign in on.
- Play the existing games on Switch. The original Subnautica and Below Zero are both available on Nintendo hardware.
